Sandviken, Sweden, 13-16 October

This was the third tournament that was decided in Sandviken. The plan had earlier been that the tournament should move back to Ljusdal this year. But there was never any indoor arena built so the tournament stayed in Sandviken until further notice.

The eight best teams from Sweden, the seven best teams from Russia and Mikkelin Kampparit from Finland participated. The Russian team HK Yenisei won the tournament after defeating the host club Sandvikens AIK 4-3 in the final. Last time Yenisei won the tournament was 1984.

Yenisei ended up in second place in Group C after two victories against Bollnäs GIF 6-3 and Edsbyns IF 5-2. Yenisei then lost the last game against Zorkij 3-4. Yenisei won the quarter final against Dynamo Kazan 5-0 and won the semi final when the team beat Zorkij 4-1.

Sandvikens AIK played in Group B and did not lose a single game. Sandviken won against Kuzbass 4-1 and played a draw against Sirius 2-2. In the last game Sandviken won against SKA Neftyanik 6-5. In the quarter final Sandvikens AIK met Brobergs IF and mon 6-5. Sandviken also won the semi final against Dynamo Moscow 3-2.
