The FIB World Championship for women is played every two years. In 2022, the championship will be held in Stockholm, Sweden.
The tournament will be historically as the first Womens World Championship to be played indoors in the newly built Gubbängen Skate and Bandy Arena January 9-16.
Last time Sweden arranged World Championship for women was back in 2008. Bandy has a strong foothold in the Stockholm region and there will probably be a big audience to see and experience women’s bandy on the highest level. Sweden is the reigning champion after the victory against Russia in the final in Olso in Norway in 2020.
