The Swedish Bandy Federation has elected a new chairman of the board – and it is a woman for the first time in history! Gisela Stockhaus was elected at the annual meeting on June 11 for one year and replaces the outgoing chairman Per-Anders Gustafsson. The Nomination Committee had nominated Gisela Stockhaus, former chairman of Västerås SK. Stockhaus is, in addition to the newly elected federation president, also the first woman in the history of the Swedish Bandy Federation to hold the post.
– I am incredibly happy for trust and it will be both exciting and fun. I also look forward to forming my team together with the board and getting to know them. I realize that we have quite big questions to work with, but I feel great support from bandy Sweden, says Gisela Stockhaus on the federations website.
Driven by dialogue and involvement. Gisela Stockhaus is 52 years old and well known in the Swedish bandy. She has 16 years behind her on Västerås SK’s board. She lives in Västerås and works as administrative manager and HR manager.
Four new board members were also elected:
Hans-Elis Johansson, Annika Jansson, John Andersson and John Johansson. Remaining on the bandy’s federal board since last year are Michael Hillström, Tiina Vesala, Anne Holopainen and Oscar Chröisty.
At the meeting, the resigning board member Arne Anderstedt was elected an honorary member. Anderstedt has been a member of the federal board of Swedish Bandy since 1999.
