Hammarby Old Boys won the World Cup for Old Boys which was decided in Haparanda during Friday and Saturday, November 18 and 19. Hammarby played the final against OLS Oulu Veterans with 2-1 after 1-1 at half time. The big goal-king of the final was Hans Elis Johansson in Hammarby, who scored both of the team’s final goals. Hammarby was the tournament’s most consistent and best team.
This was the 10th Bandy World Cup Old Boys that was played in Haparanda, Sweden. The tournament went well in real spirit of sportmanship, good games with lot of qualititive elements and some really nice goals.
The bronze went to Unisport Bandy Team and in fourth place came Veiterä Veterans.
Olov Englund from Hammarby Old Boys was selected as MVP. Hans-Elis Johansson, Hammarby Old Boys as best forward, fair play price to Kari Perkaus, Veiterä Veterans and the best defender Pekka Hiltunen, Unisport Bandy Team.
