New decisions are made for the change of work within FIB, with clear steps indicated by the
management and which can be read in the previous news update. Guiding stars for the changes are to modernize, apply good governance and increase transparency. Those changes have high priority to give the stakeholders, not at least the member national federations, an inclusive approach in the process. A couple of decisions in that direction were taken by the Executive Committee already online on November 18, 2022.
- The ongoing work within the Executive Committee (EC)
An online EC decision procedure and a quick process to approve the Minutes after each EC meeting has been approved in order to speed up the operation and decision making of FIB.
- Flexibility in the conditions for events 2022/2023
FIB EC considered the special circumstances and organising committees shall not follow the recent FIB Conditions and are not obliged to provide participating teams free accommodation and meals according to the current FIB Conditions for the World Championships Men and Youth.
- Membership fee debts. (The membership fee is a prerequisite for membership and participation in FIB tournaments.)
FIB EC approved a process and timeline to manage the outstanding membership fees before the upcoming FIB Events. All member national federations will be informed individually about their current debt before November 30, 2022.
In order to increase transparency and provide more information for the stakeholders, the Minutes and decisions of the Executive Committee will be published on the website soon.
