The Federation of International Bandy (FIB) has signed an agreement with Sportradar Integrity Services to safeguard bandy from betting-related fraud and fixed matches. Using its Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS), Sportradar monitors all matches during the international tournaments organized by FIB. The monitoring work from Sportradar has already begun during the 2023 FIB World Championships in Växjö.
Sportradar’s UFDS is an advanced and proven bet monitoring system that has been independently assessed and verified by recognized experts in the field of sports betting and integrity. UFDS and Sportradar’s team will monitor the bandy betting market for any irregularities and alert FIB of any suspected match-fixing.
The FIB General Secretary Attila Adamfi is very pleased with the new partnership with Sportradar:
– Although bandy has been fairly spared from integrity problems, it is important to do everything we can to keep the sport free from cheating when bets are made on international championships.
Sportradar’s work so far in monitoring sports around the globe has led to more than 8,000 matches across global sports being detected as suspicious during the last 18+ years and that has led to over 700 sporting sanctions and 77 criminal convictions around the globe.
Sportradar Managing Director Andreas Krannich added:
-We have witnessed a diversification of integrity threats over the years, and it is necessary to put appropriate measures in place. We are excited to partner with FIB and provide our technology and industry-leading expertise to support their integrity program in the years ahead.
