Until May 15, FIB national member associations had the opportunity to submit requests to organize international tournaments for the 2023/2024 season. Nothing is decided in FIB yet but since the interest among bandy fans all over the world is great, we want to inform about the applications that FIB has received.
A basic factor in the planning is that the decision to not held international tournaments in Russia or Belarus remains until further notice. There are two tournaments that have been postponed since during the pandemic. That is World Championship for Men Group A 2020 in Irkutsk and for Men Group A and B 2021 in Syktyvkar. These organizers will be added to the FIB Time table as soon as it will be possible for international tournaments to be played in Russia again.Â
Three nations wishes to host the World Championships for men/women. It is Kazakhstan, the USA and Sweden.
This is the list of proposed tournaments for the season 2023/2024:
NOTE! The different national member associations now complements with details before the decisions made by FIB. Remaining details are for example sanction fee, exact dates, different costs among other things. After decision a contract is to be written between FIB and the organizing National Association

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS MEN GROUP A AND B 
Kazakhstan has sent a proposal to arrange World Championships for Men in January/February 2024 on an open air arena.
Sweden wants to arrange World Championships for Men in the end of March 2024 in an indoor arena.
WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS WOMEN
USA wants the tournament to be played in USA in late January/early February 2024 on an open air arena. The tournament should include 6 A-group teams.
Sweden has proposed to arrange this tournament in an indoor arena in the end of March 2024.
WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS Y19 BOYS
Norway will arrange this tournament in Drammen, January 19-21
WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS Y17 BOYS
Finland has accepted to arrange this tournament instead of Russia. The venue is Mikkeli, January 19-21
3-NATIONS TOURNAMENT FOR MEN
This tournament will possibly be played in Sweden, January 19-21
EUROPEAN RINKBANDY CHAMPIONSHIP FOR MEN
Slovakia wants to arrange this tournament in August 2023.
WORLD CUP FOR OLDBOYS CLUB TEAMS (Age +42)
Sweden wants this tournament to be played in Haparanda November 17-19 2023.
MINI WORLD CUP FOR CLUB TEAMS BOYS (Born not earlier than 2008)
Sweden has suggested to arrange this tournament in October 27-29 in Bollnäs.
WORLD CUP Y15 FOR CLUB TEAMS GIRLS (Born not earlier than 2009)
Sweden has suggested to arrange this tournament during the Christmas break 2023/2024 in Skövde.
WORLD CUP Y17 FOR CLUB TEAMS GIRLS (Born not earlier than 2007)
Sweden wants to arrange this tournament in the fall break in week 44 in Skirö.
WORLD CUP Y17 FOR CLUB TEAMS BOYS (Born not earlier than 2007)
Sweden suggests the tournament to be played during the Christmas break 2023/2024 in Stockholm.
WORLD CUP Y19 FOR CLUB TEAMS BOYS (Born not earlier than 2005)
Sweden wants to arrange this tournament during the Christmas break 2023/2024 in Sandviken.
FIB Technical Committee have discussed the applications on earlier meetings and made proposals to FIB Executive Committee for decisions to be taken on July 7 for the tournaments that are not formally decided.
