The Swedish Bandy Association has invited three other women’s national teams to a 4-Nations Cup after the ordinary domestic series this winter. The tournament will be arranged in March 21-23 in Ruddalen Indoor Arena in Gothenburg, Sweden. The participating teams are Norway, Finland, USA and Sweden. Sweden is reigning World Champion since the championship in Sweden last year after a final victory against Finland.
-It’s going to be great that the USA, Finland and Norway are coming to us with their best players. It will be a cup with the world’s best bandy players in place and a good measure of value for future championships, says Karin Torneklint, Sports Director at the Swedish Bandy Association.
-This cup is also important for the continued development of international bandy, where we see that the United States is making an investment and coming up with a very excited team,” Torneklint concludes.
