The World Championship in 1963 was the third World Championship and was played in Sweden, 20-24 February. USSR won the tournament and Finland second and Sweden on third place.
Three of the games were played on three of the four artificial ices in Sweden; Västerås, Uppsala and Nässjö. Other venues were Karlstad, Katrineholm and the Stockholm Olympic Stadium. The games in Karlstad, Nässjö, Katrineholm and Uppsala were played in electric lights. That was the premiere of bandy games for national teams in electric lighting in Sweden.
