Ljusdal, Swede, 24-27 October
The 1996 World Cup tournament was played 24-27 October in Ljusdal. IF Boltic and Falu Bs met in the final. Boltic won their group with three straight victories while Falun came second in their group behind the group winner Västerås SK. Boltic defeated the home favorite Ljusdal in the quarterfinals and then also defeated Västerås SK in the semifinals. Falun made it to the final by winning in the quarter-finals against Hammarby with 5-3 and in the semi-finals against Bollnäs with 5-0. In the final, Boltic was the stronger team and won 6-3.
