1999 FIB LJUSDAL WORLD CUP MEN

Ljusdal, Sweden, 27-31 October

Winner was the Swedish club Hammarby IF, after defeating Ljusdals BK from Sweden 7-0 in the final game.

Russian HK Vodnik did not participate, having been banned from international play following a scandal surrounding the 1998 European Cup.

Hammarby made an impressive Round Robin stage and won all three games with a goal difference of 12-3. Ljusdal also won the group by winning two games and one tie.

Hammarby impressed also in the play offs. They beat Västerås SK 5-1 in the quarterfinal and Falun 4-2 in the semifinal. Ljusdal won the quarter final 5-1 against Finnish Narukerä and the semi final 2-1 against Russian Yenisei.

And the final game was a one-team-show as Hammarby IF made a 7-0 victory!
