A new chapter is marked for the Norwegian Bandy Federation. Kim-Alexander Hofgaard Jørstad has taken over as General Secretary on June 1, 2024. He succeeds Tomas Jonsson, who has held the post for 34 years. Jonsson has of course become a legendary leader in Norwegian bandy.

Kim-Alexander Hofgaard Jørstad is very excited and looks forward with great enthusiasm to the challenges and opportunities that come with the role. Jørstad says he is ready to lead the federation and build on the solid foundation that has been laid:

-These are the days I’ve been looking forward to since I got the offer to lead the Norwegian Bandy Federation in the further journey. It is incredibly exciting to be responsible for so many skilled, interested and enterprising employees, and to work together with representatives and boards, says Hofgaard Jørstad to the Norwegian Bandy Federation’s website.

Tomas Jonsson will continue as an advisor in the Norwegian Bandy Federation.

The Norwegian Bandy Federation is divided into 3 sections; Bandy, Floorball and Field hockey. Also in the bandy section, there has been a change of leader at the annual meeting on Thursday 13 June. Stein Pedersen has chosen not to stand for re-election. Now the meeting chose instead to elect Richard Brande from Ready to new chairman of the bandy section.
