Västerås and Villa Lidköping World Cup Champions!

Västerås SK and Villa Lidköping BK, are the names familiar in a bandy context?

Those clubs have collected many fine titles over the years and still do. This past weekend both clubs took home two new sets of fine medals. Västerås SK won the World Cup Women 17 for club teams and Villa Lidköping won the World Cup Men 16. Just like all other international bandy tournaments this season, these two were arranged in Sweden.

VÄSTERÅS SK WAS OUTSTANDING THROUGHOUT THE TOURNAMENT!
Ladies first. Västerås SK put on a great show when the team won all their matches with an impressive goal difference of 54-7! Outstanding! The team was also completely superior when Surte/Kareby were defeated in the final by a whopping 13-1. We also find another superiority in the list of top scorers: Elin Palm 15 goals, Hilda Kolsmyr 12 goals and Ebba Martinsson 11 goals. All in the top of the goal scorers.

VILLA LIDKÖPING WON THE TITLE IN WC MEN 16.
The young men had significantly more even matches. Villa Lidköping BK thus took home the final victory in Bollnäs through an extremely narrow final victory against last year’s champions from Edsbyn, 3-2 after 1-1 at half-time. Here, too, we find the sharpest goalscorer in the winning team. Melvin Albinsson scored a whopping 14 goals followed by team mates Vilgot Johansson with 12 and Wilton Pasjkin Isaksson 11.
