The Swedish teams Västerås SK and Sandvikens AIK are two of the really big Swedish legendary bandy clubs. This is also the case in the World Cup. The teams played in the same group in the group stage in Ljusdal in 1994.
Västerås won the group 2 points for Sandviken. Västerås beat Edsbyn in the semi-finals with 5-1 while Sandviken defeated Vetlanda with 5-4. The two big ones met in this year’s final. Västerås won a very exciting final against Sandviken with 5-4.
