Ljusdal in Sweden was as usual the place for World Cup for men. Russian Dynamo Moscow defended the title from last year when they beat Swedish Edsbyns IF 5-0 in the final game. The two best teams from group A, B and C went to the quarter finals together with the group winners from group D and E. The winners received gold medals.

Dynamo Moscow beat Stabæk 13-0, a draw with Västerås SK 2-2 and a victory 5-1 against Bollnäs GIF in the Round Robin. In the quarter final Dynamo met Vodnik and won 9-0. In the semi final Dynamo defeted Zorkij 4-3.

Edsbyns IF beat Tornio 9-3, Vetlanda BK 7-2 and Rodina Kirov 6-2 in the Round Robin games. In the quarter final Edsbyn played against Brobergs IF and won 6-2. The semi final was an exciting game against Uralsky Trubnik that ended 2-2. Edsbyn won the penalty shootout and moved to the final.
