2008 FIB WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP WOMEN

Borlänge, Grängesberg and Karlsbyheden, Sweden, 13-16 February



This year the World Bandy Championship for women was the fourth world championship in bandy for women and was played in Borlänge, Grängesberg and Karlsbyheden in Sweden. Sweden won the tournament, beating Russia in the final 5-2. The final was played at Tunets IP in Borlänge. Finland beat Norway 5-3 and won the bronze. The opening of the tournament took place in the large shopping complex Kupolen in Borlänge.


The next world championship will be held in 2010 and from now on the tournament will be played every two years.
