In this 2012 World Cup tournament Record from Irkutsk in Russia became new World Cup champion after a winning final against AIK from Solna, Sweden. Then the women from Irkutsk got their revenge from the Round Robin stage when AIK beat Record in a penalty shootout after 2-2 in the group match. Record won the final 4-2 after 0-0 at half time.
Apart from the group game against AIK, Record won the other Round Robin games when they beat Skirö 10-1 and Hammarby 8-0. Beside the Record game in the group AIK won against Kareby 2-1 and Söråker 5-0.
In the semifinal Record won against Sandvikens AIK on a penalty shootout after 2-2 at full time. AIK won it’s semi final against Zorkij 2-0.
Sandviken became bronze medalist after the bronze victory against Zorkij 4-2.Â
