2013 FIB WORLD CUP WOMEN

This World Cup tournament for women was played in 3 groups in the Round Robin stage. The Swedish team Kareby won the title by a final victory against the Russian team Record. The final ended in a draw 3-3 but Kareby won the following Golden Goal in extra time. 

Kareby played in Group B with only three teams. They won both the group games against Norwegian Stabæk 10-0 and Swedish AIK 3-2. In the quarter final they met the Russian team Zorkij and won 4-0 and in the semi final Kareby beat AIK 3-1 and moved to the final.

Record played in Group A and played three games and won all of them. First they won against Söråker 7-2, then Hälsingland 8-0 and finally the Norwegian team Nordre Sande 9-0. In the quarter final Record met Haparanda Tornio and won 7-1 and in the semi final Record won against Söråker 6-1.

AIK got the bronze medals after a bronze game victory against SörÃ¥ker 3-1.Â
