Sandviken, Sweden, 8-11 October
This tournament was divided in three groups with 4 teams in Group A and 5 teams in Group B and C. The two best teams from Group A moved to quarter final and the three best teams in Group B and C.
The tournament was won by Russian HK Yenisei, who beat the home team Sandvikens AIK 5-0 in the final. Both Yenisei and Sandviken won 3 games in the Round Robin stage and also played 1 draw. Yenisei won against Brobergs IF 6-0, Kampparit from Finland 9-0 and Baikal Energy 3-0 in Group C. The draw was against Hammarby IF 5-5. In the quarter final Yenisei beat Edsbyn 4-3 and SKA Neftyanik 5-2 in the semi final.Â
Sandvikens AIK played in Group B and won the games against Edsbyns IF 5-2, Norwegian Ready 11-0 and IFK Vänersborg 3-2. The draw was against Dynamo Moscow 4-4. In the quarter final Sandviken won against Broberg in a penalty shootout after 2-2 in the ordinary time and then another victory in the semi final against Västerås SK 2-1.
