THIS IS ÅBY, VÄXJÖ

Växjö is a town in southern Småland as well as a residential town for Kronoberg County. Åby, where the indoor arena is situated, is a small village with only 500 inhabitants. Växjö received city rights in year 1342.

The Växjö countryside has had a resident population at least since the younger Stone Age 4100-1700 BC. The fact that roads from five different directions radiated together at the northern tip of Växjö Lake has been crucial to the development of Växjö in this location.

93 020 people live in the city of Växjö and 500 in little Åby.

The “Eriksson Arena” was built in 2019.
