Sweden beat Finland in the team’s second game in the tournament. Sweden played steadily even though it was not entirely convincing. A lot of carelessness in the game in both teams. But it was Sweden who created the chances of scoring and managed their chances well and could quite easily pull off to a win with 6-0. The defense in the Swedish team was very good and Finland was given no real goal chances throughout the game.
With the victory, Sweden now win the group because it’s victories against Russia and Finland. This means that Sweden plays it’s semifinal on Friday against the winner in the qualifying game between team A4/B1. At present, it is Kazakhstan-Norway. On Wednesday, the final group game between Finland and Russia will decide which team will follow Sweden directly to the semi-finals. The team that loses that game meets team B2, right now USA. Sweden’s semi final will start Friday at 20.00 and the other semi final starts at 16.00.
