Christoffer Edlund
The Swedish topscorer and player in Sandvikens AIK, Christoffer Edlund, has signed a one year contract with the Russian club Yenisei. He represented the Russian club in the 2014-15 season when the team won the Russian Championship. Christoffer was also the best scorer in the leauge.
– I have been open to SAIK and always said that I want to play more in Russia and when Yenisei now showed interest and everything fell into place it was a simple decision, says Christoffer after his visit to Krasnoyarsk.
Sandviken has been well aware of Christoffers plans.
– I have some friends over there and it was not difficult to agree on a contract. I expect to join later this summer when the club comes to Sweden for a training camp. During part of the season, the family will also be present in Russia, says Christoffer to Sandvikens AIK website.
Yenisei disappeared this season from the Russian play offs in the quarter-finals. The ambition for next season is clearly to come further in both the series and cups. Not least the World Cup where Yenisei hope to participate.
Christoffer Edlund is a topscorer. In all his career he has made 996 goals and will probably reach 1000 goals early next season in Yenisei.
