This season seems to be very exciting and hopefully more even than the last in Russian Super League. This weekend the Cup of Russia has been decided. The tournament started in September when the group stage was decided in two groups. One group was won by Yenisei on 21 points, the same points as SKA Neftyanik. The second group was won by Dynamo Moscow at 21 points before Vodnik at 14 points.
The playoffs have now been decided November 1-3 in Krylatskoye Stadium in Moscow. In first semi-final the result was Yenisei-Vodnik 3-4 and in the other Dynamo Moscow-SKA Neftyanik 3-1. Thus, Dynamo got revenge on SKA Neftyanik for the loss in the semi-finals of the World Cup.
The final game was played on Sunday, November 3. Dynamo Moscow beat Vodnik by 4-2 after 2-2 at halftime.
