Now it’s time for the decision in the season’s first major Russian tournament. The Russian Cup has been played since the beginning of August with the participation of the top teams. The teams were first divided into two groups “Group West” and “Group Vostok”. The team played a single series. 8 teams played in Group West and winner was Dynamo Moscow on 21 points before Vodnik, Arkhangelsk on 18, Ak Bars Dynamo, Kazan 10 points, Volga on 8 points, Rodina Kirov 7, Murman 6 and Start, Nizhny Novgorod on 0 points.
Kuzbass, Kemerovo won Group Vostok by 15 points. 7 teams participated in that group. Second was Yenisei on 12 points and then Baikal Energy 7 points, SKA Neftyanik 6, Sibselmash 3 and Uralsky Trubnik 1 point.

The first and second team in both groups qualified for the semi finals. Those games and the big final will be decided this week in Ice Palace Baikal in Irkutsk. In the first semifinal on Thursday, September 30, at 19.00 (UTC +8) when Dynamo Moscow will play Yenisei.
The second semifinal will be played on Friday, October 1, at 19.00 (UTC +8) when Kuzbass will play Vodnik.
The winners will meet in the final which will be played on Sunday, October 3, at 16.00 (UTC +8).
